Paper Piecing Fun with Betsy

I am soooo behind on my lucky starts over at Don’t Call Me Betsy.  Okay, if I’m really honest with you…I didn’t start working on them until this week.  Here’s where I am so far.ImageImageImage

  1. I’d love it if your book’s Amazon page had a paragraph or so about the book. What can we learn from it? Is it about design, sewing techniques, how to keep your edges from getting mangled? All of the above?

    • Great idea, Teri. When I put together some more blocks from this line, I will tell you more about it. Thanks for the idea!

    • I think you would love it. It reminds me of paint by numbers sometimes only we get to choose the paint colors. I hope you will try it and let me know what you think. Kristy at Quiet Play has a linky Paper Piecing Linky Party every weekend. If you pop over there you will see all kinds of inspiring pieces. Thanks for stopping by.

    • Thanks….sometimes, I am not in love with my blocks at this point, but I must confess I am in love with these. I can’t wait to finish the others. Thanks fro the complement and stopping by.

    • Thanks, Valerie. I have the patterns for four more stars, but I haven’t had a chance to get to my sewing room this week.

        • I’m going to make them into a throw quilt. I had originally planned on white sashing, but now I am thinking I may go with black sashing. Decisions, decisions. There will be a total of 12 stars. One pattern arrives each month, but I am behind. Hopefully, I will catch up and be able to finish it up at the end of the year.

Thanks for asking! My stepson has observed that I make a lot of squares….not quilts, just squares!

  2. Your blocks are beautiful! I just love the Mama Said Sew collection. I the first star is my favorite of the three but I can’t wait to see the rest. I can never keep up with anything so good luck!! 🙂 -Jamie

    • Thanks, Jamie. These are the best paper pieced blocks I have ever made. Usually my center points are wonky, but these turned out really well. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Thanks, Kristy! I’m sorry I missed the linky party. I will try to make it on time this weekend. I have plans to turn your lovely paper pieced tea-pot into a hot pot holder….Now to find the time to do it! Hhhhmmmm.
