A beach trip is inevitable for us. You see, Grandma lives at the beach so we are guaranteed to visit her at least a couple times a year. I decided to whip up an easy tote for towels, suntan lotion, sunglasses and such.
The beach pail pattern came from Moda’s All Stars, All in a Row. I’m not much of an applique fan, but I thought the pail was cute. I thought I would try one on a bag before committing to a row of ails. Now that I have made it I’m not sure I want to make an entire row of appliqué pails. One of my problems is with the heat and bond used to hold the appliqué in place before stitching. The heat and bond I have is not very adhesive and as a result, my appliqué begins to pull away before I’m finished stitching. Any suggestions? Linking up with Kim at Persimmon Dreams for another Project Quilting! The theme this week is, “I need a vacation!” Truer words have never been spoken!
